Meet the Microbes - Organization of an Open-Door Event

The aim of this activity is to develop, together with the participants, an open-door event to be held at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Neuchâtel. This event would be focused on microbiology and open to the general public. The exact topic on which to communicate and the specific target audience shall be defined within the activity by the participants. In terms of organization, there would be four sessions all together. An initial in-person session lasting a full day with speakers presenting their expertise in lay communication applied to a scientific field to lay the groundwork. This would be followed by approx. 4 online sessions of 2h for the preparation of the event. Then, there would be a final session lasting a full day consisting of a half-day to set-up the event (morning) and the other half of the day to for the actual event with activities for the general public.
