Description | This Activity is organized by Life Science Switzerland, The Swiss Chemical Society, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property with the support of the Swiss Academy of Science (SCNAT). The CUSO Programs in Molecular Plant Science, Ecology and Evolution and StarOmics have booked 8 places for their members.
At the end of this two-day workshop, you will master basic knowledge in intellectual property and will have answers to the following questions: How does patenting in life sciences affect – my career? – academic research? – the society?
The course consists of a series of lectures on intellectual property protection and patent law, challenges related to intellectual property in an academic environment and in a spin-off company and ethical considerations. You will also discover new job opportunities in the field of intellectual property management. Importantly, you will have the opportunity to participate in workshops where you can gain hands on experiences in the topics described.
