[REPORT À 2025] Visit to CHUV Diagnostic Lab

Guided tour of the diagnostic laboratories of the CHUV: PhD Students from the CUSO program probably visited a doctor once when they were really sick. However, they don't really know what happens with their sample(s) (urine, blood, ...). In order for the doctor to make a decision about treatment, the pathogens responsible for the disease/infection need to be identified and characterized. The visit to the CHUV diagnostic laboratories will inform the students about the current methods and challenges in rapid diagnosis occurring on a daily basis in the clinics
