How to validate your ECTS credits

The students will not receive ECTS credits from the StarOmics doctoral program but an attestation to get ECTS credits in their own university.

StarOmics final certificate

Inform the coordinator that you have finished your PhD thesis. If all the requirements are fulfilled, you will receive a certificate with the list of all the activities you attended.

Reimbursement

StarOmics participants attending an activity organized (or recognized) by StarOmics (see the list) are eligible for reimbursement. See details and specific conditions here.

Evaluation of students

Doctoral students are evaluated for each activity by the main organizer (usually a professor) of the activity, who signs and thus validates an accreditation form. The validated form allows the students to ask for ECTS credits from their own university, if they require them.

Evaluation of courses

To help us to improve the quality and the offer of activities, please fill out also the "evaluation form" and send it to the doctoral program coordinator together with the certificate of participation.

Participation

Activities are primarily for PhD students belonging to StarOmics. If there are places available, master students, PhD students, postdocs and academics can register but traveling/accommodation expenses cannot be reimbursed.

Registration

On-line registration (mandatory) is available under each individual course description >> go to courses.

Reservation fee

Each participant will be asked to pay a reservation fee of 100.- CHF per course or per workshop. This amount will be exclusively used to cover expenses not covered by the CUSO. We expect that the student’s supervisors will pay this symbolic fee.
