Dates

11-12 September 2017

Organizer(s)

Prof. Roman Ulm, University of Geneva; Prof. Christian Fankhauser, University of Lausanne

Speakers

Angela Falciatore, Laboratory of Computational and Quantitative Biology, Paris, France
Salomé Prat, Centro Nacional de Biotecnología-CSIC, Madrid, Spain
Phil Wigge, Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge, UK
Ronald Pierik, Utrecht University, The Netherlands
Ted Farmer, University of Lausanne, Switzerland
Dimitris Petroutsos, CNRS, CEA, Grenoble, France

Description

Plant development is extremely plastic and heavily depends on the environmental conditions. During this workshop the students will learn about the wide range of responses triggered in plants by changes in their environment. The molecular mechanisms underlying these physiological changes will also be covered. Each of the six invited speakers will first provide a broad introductory lecture on their topic, which will then be followed by a research seminar on their latest findings. In subgroups, students will be able to discuss with the speakers major open questions in the respective research fields. A poster session will give the opportunity to CUSO Students and participants to present their own research.

Location

University of Lausanne, CIG, Génopode
