ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Training Modules
Every year, the Microbiology Doctoral Program offers a wide range of activities designed to support your scientific development:

  • Workshops
  • Seminars
  • Practical courses

A regularly updated list of training modules is available online. Most activities are organized by academics affiliated with the Universities of Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, Neuchâtel, or by CUSO itself.
While these activities are generally open to participants outside the program, Microbiology PhD students have priority.

Evaluations and ECTS Credits

  • The program does not directly award ECTS credits.
  • Certificates of participation can be provided upon request, allowing students to obtain credits through their home doctoral school.

After each training/activity:
✔ Organizers submit a short report to the program committee.
✔ Students are invited to evaluate and provide feedback.

Suggestions and recommendations are welcome at any time and can be shared with the program coordinator or committee.

Program committee
The program is overseen by a committee of faculty representatives and PhD student representatives from participating universities.

Current leadership:

  • Director: Prof. Daniel Croll (UNINE)
  • Vice-Director: Prof. Laure Weisskopf (UNIFR)

Supported by faculty and student representatives from UNIL, UNIGE, UNIFR, and UNINE
