Where? Alpine Classic Hotel Leysin

Who? All StarOmics students!

What? Social events, poster session, 3 invited speakers and discussions on the theme of MultiOmics data analysis, games and an easy hike if the weather permits. Includes 1 night in a shared double room, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast, coffee breaks and all the activities including the cable-car!

Each participant is asked to bring a poster to facilitate the social and scientific interactions between the participants.

Registration costs 50 CHF per person to ensure participation.

The train journey to get there and back will be reimbursed through CUSO.

11.00-12.30: PhD speed dating: Meet and network in a friendly environment. 
12.30-14.00: Lunch at the hotel.

Afternoon
14.00-15.00: Dr. Sandra Goetze from ETH.
15.00-15.30: Coffee break.
15.30-17.00: Poster/flash talk session.
17.00-20.00: Apéro and games.
20.00: Dinner at the hotel.

Friday 04.10.2024

Morning

9.00-10.30: Breakfast.
10.30-11.30: "Extracting Biological Insight Using UniProt" by

Dr. Marie-Claude Blatter from SIB. 11.30-12.00: Coffee break.

12.00-13.00: Dr. Julien Boccard from University of Geneva.

Afternoon
13.00-14.00: Lunch at the hotel.
14.00-17.00: Cable car to Berneuse + easy hike on top of the mountain. 17.00: Return train.
