ContentThis two-day course for intermediate R users focuses on the tidyverse, a collection of R packages for data science. We are going to focus on the two key packages dplyr ("The grammar of graphics") and ggplot2 ("The grammar of graphics") plus several more such as purrr (enhanced functional programming), tidyr (helpers to create tidy data sets), readr (fast & friendly data import/export), tibble (modern data frames), lubridate (easy and fast parsing of date-times) and forcats (tools for working with categorial variables). The course is a mixture between brief presentations, demonstrations (on-screen, using R and RStudio) and supervised exercises ("learning by doing").
Requirements for attending and completing the workshopFamiliarity with R before attending the workshop or previous attendance of an introductory course to R. Bring your own laptop to the workshop with recent versions of R and R-Studio installed.
