Summary of thesis

Nuclear factor 1-C (NFI-C) is a transcription factor that has been implicated in wound healing, skin appendage pathologies, and recently hair follicle regeneration. We propose that it has a role in cell proliferation, and will investigate this further by studying the role of NFI-C in the regenerating liver in a knock-out mouse model.
