|Summary of thesis||
Prolonged summer droughts, as predicted for Switzerland in the mid-term future, are expected to have a major impact on grassland ecosystems. Therefore we conduct rainfall exclusion treatments on three grassland sites with different elevations and management regimes. Rainfall exclusion is achieved via rain-shelters. Treatment effects are studied regarding soil characteristics and (eco)physiological adaptations.
