Summary of thesis

The outcome of this project will contribute to general understanding of the patterns boosts marine predator invasions -specific issue of lionfish-. We aim to investigate food acquisition hunting strategies influencing expansion of lionfish within invaded region and original region. In parallel, the combination of the cognitive experiments to study the flexibility of decision rules, and prey responses to lionfish in both populations will give us a first idea in how far cognitive tolerance (for lionfish or its prey) may allow predators to adjust by environmental changes.
