Description | Population Genomics and Bioinformatics share many common interests at the interface of modern integrative biology, which may generate enormous quantities of complex data, often through multiple sources. Efficient and accurate analysis of such data can only be accomplished through appropriate computational methods. Working together, bioinformaticians and population genomics scientists develop advanced approaches to study biological variation. This collaboration is imperative to establish new hypotheses and models to strike a new path towards the understanding of biology at the population level. We organize a joint Spring School simply entitled "Bioinformatics and Population Genomics'' to give our students access to the state-of-the-art bioinformatics techniques and the biological questions that population genomics has prompted. The objective of this course is to teach PhD students how to integrate, manage, and analyse experimental genomics data using advanced bioinformatics tools. PROVISIONAL PROGRAM
