Description

This is a combined field-laboratory course. For one week we will investigate microbiological, biogeochemical and limnological aspects of Lago di Cadagno, one of the internationally best studied meromictic alpine lakes. We will teach how to design and execute reliable field work that can lead to follow-up experiments in the field laboratory and later back at your home lab. During the course we aim to discover new organisms and we expect participants to contribute with their knowledge and skills to this interdisciplinary microbiological ecosystem study.
