Description

The DMF Impromptu 2016 will be comprised of two parts: PART I: 17 November 2016 excusively for PhD students
- Informal chalk talks with PhD students and external speakers. The students will discuss the concepts behind their research project, while the speakers will give advice on career planning in science. PART II: 18 November 2016 - Invited speakers will present their own research in the area of 'Origins of life' in a more formal setting. The talks will cover a broad range of scientific approaches from the pre-biotic chemical era to synthetic biology and will provide a unique opportunity for thought-provoking and stimulating discussions on past and future origins of life. A Pre- Symposium meeting has been organized excusively for PhD students on the: 17 November from 16:00 to 19:00,
Biophore building, DMF seminar room 2917.2 In this presymposium meeting, the students will discuss the concepts behind their research project, with informal chalk talks, while the invited speakers will give advice on career planning in science. The symposium will take place on the: 18 November from 9:00 to 17:30,
