Detailed information about the course
Title | Introduction to simulation for experimental design using R |
Dates | 12 July 2018 |
Organizer(s) | Dr. Marta Bellone, Coordinator of the CUSO Doctoral Program in Ecology and Evolution |
Speakers | Dr Etienne Low-Decarie, University of Essex (UK) |
Description | Experimental design can be challenging. Producing a simulated data set can allow a scientist to explore the validity of their design and the feasibility of subsequent analysis and presentation. This workshop will use a combination of lectures and practical exercises specifically tailored for ecology, evolution and environmental sciences. The workshop will progress from simple simulations using spreadsheet software to more sophisticated simulations and analysis approaches in R. |
