Summary of thesis

The main aim of my project is to study long non-coding RNAs role in cancer using CRISPR/Cas9 based tools. On one side, I will work on the improvement of existing CRISPR/Cas9 based systems for genomic functional analysis, focusing on lncRNAs. On the other side, I will apply these tools to knock-out lncRNAs candidates that have been bioinformatically predicted to be cancer drivers and study the phenotypic effect on specific cancer cell lines.
