| Summary of thesis | We are testing a novel treatment concept of percutaneous application of anti-inflammatory substances into the joint. Therefore we are creating critical size defects in the weight bearing area of the medial femoral condyle in sheep. We include molecular biology and histological techniques to assess the up- resp. downregulation of the expression of inflammatory components within the joint and the stage of cartilage degeneration. |
