| Summary of thesis | This project will develop a reproducible bioinformatic framework for the analysis of heterogeneous genomic datasets in conservation research, including variation in sample origin, sequencing technology, coverage, and data quality. It will enable scientists to conduct research more effectively and support informed decision-making in the conservation of endangered species. Additionally, the project will contribute to the characterization of the population-level genetic diversity and demographic history of one of Europe’s most threatened fish species, Zingel asper, thereby informing conservation management strategies. |
