| Summary of thesis | Research on systemic resistance has been mainly focused so far on leaves and dicot model plants. The aim of the thesis is to investigate the role of roots in systemic resistance and to better understand systemic resistance in monocots. We are analysing systemic resistance in maize using Colletotrichum graminicola as fungal model organism. |
