Summary of thesis

We combine sophisticated automated tracking of ants with social network analyses and high through-put sequencing of brain transcriptomes to understand (1) the neuromolecular basis of behavioural differences between worker castes (2) the impact of different genomes on a focal individuals phenotype and (3) how individual brains interact to produce colony-level behaviours.
