| Summary of thesis | The thesis aims to assess mechanisms and effects of receptor-mediated immunotoxicity in fish. To this end, chemicals with known immunotoxic and non-immunotoxic modes of action will be studied in vitro and in vivo to investigate the pathways through which they interfere with immune system structure and function of fish. Emphasis will be given to endocrine-mediated immunomodulatory effects of chemicals. |
