Description

This practical course intends to provide an overview of the different steps needed to perform mass spectrometry-based plant metabolomics. The participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with sample preparation, analysis by HPLC-MS, data processing, compound annotation and bioinformatics.

DAY 1
Morning - Introduction to plant Metabolomics & lectures on sample preparation and analytical approaches for metabolomics
Afternoon - Laboratory session: collection of plant samples and sample preparation of collected samples

DAY 2
Morning – 1st half: Laboratory session: visit of HPLC-MS laboratories and visualization of raw data Morning – 2nd half: lectures on data processing and bioinformatics
Afternoon – Training session: processing of the data generated during the course
