The annual retreat (2 days) aims to group and socialize all students from the StarOmics doctoral program as well as with teachers and external experts. It is organized by the students themselves in the framework of a minisymposium. The location will be chosen outside of the participating institutions and 2 to 3 external experts are invited to give plenary lectures with practical times and discussions and also to evaluate students' presentations. Additionally, social activities will help students to meet, exchange and build potential collaborations

The retreat will take place from the 22nd-24th of October. It will be hosted in the Seminar hotel Z Aeschiried (https://www.gruppenhaus.ch/en/house/hotel_pour_seminaires/z_aeschiried/1218). 

We have divided our program in 4 different categories/themes: Sunday Evening (22nd of October)

Monday (23rd of October)

Tuesday Morning (24th of October) 
Mental Health Speaker to be confirmed soon- however the topics will be: stress, burn-out, depression

Reimbursements for CUSO StarOmics students: - Train ticket, 2°class, half-fare from your institution to the place of the activity.

NEW from 2021: Reimbursement of your travel tickets can be asked online through your MyCUSO.

Deadline for registration: September 30, 2023

Participation fees: CHF 100.- (some of this amount may be reimbursed after the event)

IMPORTANT: for cancellations after the 05.10.23 students will be charged of the full costs of their stay (175 CHF).
