The aim of this activity is is introduce the principle of Flow Cytometry and its application in microbiology.

The morning will be dedicated to theorical presentations:
- Principle of flow cytometry;
- Flow Cytometry and microbiology.

During the afternoon, the students will be able to attend a demo a different applications of the flow cytometry (to be defined more in details).

Morning (theory) :

• Principle of Flow Cytometry
• Break
• Flow Cytometry and Microbiology

Afternoon (Practical Sessions, small groups):

• Setting of a Flow Cytometer (Voltages, Compensations)
• Analysis of micro-organism by flow Cytometry (Bactérias, Phytoplancton, yeast...)
• Imaging Flow Cytometry and Microbiology

UNIL, Campus Biopôle, Building SE-C (2nd floor)
