The program of the Annual Retreat of the Doctoral Program in Microbial Sciences will comprised of a two-day symposium with active participation of the students. The students will introduce and chair plenary sessions given by invited speakers. The plenary talks will be followed by series of short talks in which the students present their work with their peers as convenors directing the discussion. Every student will prepare a poster that will be presented in two poster sessions in the late afternoon of the first and the morning of the second day. The first day will end with a common dinner during which students, invited speakers and group leaders from the CUSO program will mix to discuss and exchange ideas. A price will be awarded for the best poster and the best oral presentation.
