Matrix assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) is becoming the platform of choice for the identification of bacteria in clinical laboratories throughout much of Europe. It is also consider as a valuable tool for the identification of environmental microbes and higher organisms provided the reference spectra are available. During this activity the students will learn the basis of MALDI-TOF MS and get hands-on experience.

LODGMENT INFORMATION

For your lodgment during the course for the nights 26^th and 27^th we booked at the youth hostel “Spazio aperto” which is near our Lab. For more details regarding the location please click here 

and for information regarding the rooms please click here  

Spazio Aperto is a basic accommodation and you need to take your sleeping bag and towels. The breakfast is included in the booking. The costs will be covered by CUSO.

For those who already have an accommodation in Canton Ticino, please, let us know as soon as possible if you will NOT stay at the youth hostel “Spazio aperto”.
